Prey Torteung Primary School Education/ Water and Sanitation Project

Prey Torteung Primary School located 15km from Siem Reap and is in need of help.  The school has 680 students (342 females) and 22 teachers with classrooms in need of repair and school equipment that needs replacing.  The school is also in need of additional toilet and sanitation facilities. Using a District Foundation International Grant this work was undertaken in November 2024

District Foundation Grant for Cambodian School

The District Foundation Committee have approved an International Grant to focus on Basic Education and Literacy/Water, Sanitation and Hygiene at the Thmor Chul School in Cambodia.

We also received notice that a Global Grant was approved for the Construction of Washroom Toilets in Cambodia.  Brighton North is part of the consortium which also includes D9800 clubs of Port Phillip, Melbourne Central, Chadstone East Malvern and Balwyn.

Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA)

This international youth program simulates the workings of the United Nations Assembly by having students from a number of schools represent a particular UN country. The students debate on matters of world political and social concern.

Rotary Safe Families

Rotary SAFE Families’ was established in 2018 to help stop all forms of family violence by addressing its underlying causes.  It has evolved into a national program with valuable resources and tools including short films, Manual, Toolkit, translated information to assist every Rotarian in every part of Australia
