Donations In Kind (DIK)

Rotary’s Donations in Kind (DIK) warehouse in West Footscray is a volunteer-based recycling facility used to collect and redistribute goods, principally donated by companies, hospitals and educational institutions.

In the past 19 years, DIK has shipped 578 containers of equipment and supplies containing goods worth $58 million to 32 countries, with a strong emphasis on items that improve education, medical and maternal care. Disadvantaged areas of the Australian community are also supported.

On the first Tuesday morning of the month a dedicated team of Brighton North Rotary members and friends work at the DIK warehouse packing and sorting donated goods. Contact us if you are interested in joining our DIK team.
