(CHINA) BEHIND THE CURTAIN - A Special Presentation
Mr MARK REARICK, Global Automotive Executive **
A thought-provoking event for any serious thinker on International, Business & Technological Interests
China’s borders have opened for the first time in 3 years. During this time, China operated outside of the view of most Western business and government leaders. While many countries around the world managed through remote work and lockdowns, China returned to “normal” life very quickly in 2020. They drove their domestic agenda – and for business that meant intensifying their focus on advanced technology. Mark Rearick was one of the few Western business leaders living inside of China during this time – which provided him with frequent access to senior business leaders and government officials. Mark will share his insights as an automotive executive during this period and the potential implications for Australia.
** Biography: Mark is a global automotive executive whose career has spanned Australia, the U.S. and Greater China. As a C-Level Executive and Board member, he has led several enterprise-wide transformations. His past experience includes CFO and Company Director at Ford Australia and as VP of Strategy for Ford China. During the pandemic, Mark was based in China where he co-founded Ford’s local electric vehicle business and served as the inaugural President. He is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and has post graduate degrees in mechanical engineering and finance. Today, he serves as a Company Director in Australia for several organisations.
