Rotary Theme 2023-2024

Rotary International President-elect R. Gordon R. McInally revealed the 2023-24 presidential theme, Create Hope in the World. McInally, asked members to restore hope by helping the world heal from destructive conflicts and create lasting change within ourselves.  

Star Thrower Project

With the recent floods affecting the Rochester area this project has been designed to provide a well-being experience in the Queenscliff / Point Lonsdale area and an alternative experience in the Melbourne area.  

Toilet Washrooms in Cambodia

Brighton North Rotary together with World of Difference have been successful in obtaining a Rotary Foundation District International Grant (total $18,000) to renovate toilets in the village of Kok Tnoth in Cambodia.


 Recently Lyn and Margie joined Katrina (Rotary Hawthorn) to sort multiple tracksuits donated for our Community Cares Project.  Great hands on volunteering and fun together.

Sarsfield Bushfire Recovery

When the 2019/20 bushfires tore through Sarsfield, it left 200 properties damaged and 80 homes completely destroyed. The Rotary Clubs of Brighton North and Glenferrie together with Rotary District 9820 and members of the East Gippsland Fire Aid Committee from Rotary Clubs in the Sarsfield vicinity stepped in to assist.


End Trachoma Project

Members and Friends of Rotary Brighton North recently completed a Project making toiletry kits for schoolchildren in the Northern Territory as part of the EndTrachoma Project. Funding was provided by our Club and The Rotary Foundation


The Brighton North Story

The Rotary Club of Brighton North was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Brighton and chartered on 29th March 1985. The Club is very active and engages in all aspects of Rotary service.



Rotary Safe Families

Rotary SAFE Families’ was established in 2018 to help stop all forms of family violence by addressing its underlying causes.  It has evolved into a national program with valuable resources and tools including short films, Manual, Toolkit, translated information to assist every Rotarian in every part of Australia


Sustainable food sources in Cambodian village

A project of Brighton North Rotary costing $16,500; supported by a District Foundation Grant and by the World of Difference Committee was to encourage village farmers in the village of Kok Tnoth to utilise their land between rice crops and plant fast-growing vegetables; with water pumped from water bores.
