Club Matters

•   The Golf Day was a resounding success with the winning male team being from Seek and the winning lady’s team being Barb Gordon’s team. From a fund-raising perspective it is likely that in excess of $8000 for club funds was raised. President Kate thanked Garry Bradd for his work to make the day such a success.
•    The Garden DesignFest – Mort provided the volunteer schedule for all present and it is all systems go for a massive weekend of Rotary commitment for a marvellous project and some serious fund-raising on the 15 & 16Nov14.
•    President Kate reported on some brilliant feedback from the schools in the Northern Territory, where the Footy Nuts program is operating.
•    Our AG Peter Frueh is the team leader for the outgoing GSE team from our District. We will join with other clubs in the cluster to host the inbound welcome on Tuesday 24 February probably at Milanos.
•    PP Peter Harris gave a fascinating summary of what happened during his year as President back in 2005/6. One of the highlights being the awarding of a PHF sapphire to Jim Brock shortly before he passed away.
Other highlights of Peter's year were:-

The bulletin went from paper to email with resounding success.
The North Road - Centenary of Rotary project – started by Virginia, was opened.
A record number of Bikes for Kids were donated by the generous members of the club.
Peter also thanked Glennie his Secretary, for her behind the scenes time, effort, skills and dedication.
