A World of Difference - In Cambodia!
Guest Speaker Bronwyn Stephens RC Melbourne South

Mark & Bronwyn Stephens
Every now and then we meet someone so passionate to help the much less fortunate, that it becomes a major part of his or her being. We also have such a person with our own in Don with his work in Tibet.
Bronwyn spoke to us about her many trips (13) to Cambodia to help the country people to self-help to a better life.
A touching slide show emphasised the poverty, the illiteracy, families broken by mass kidnappings & killings, vast mine fields still maiming & killing villagers as they work the land to survive.
Through ‘A World of Difference’ project, Bronwyn and others including Rithy Lay & RC Phnom Penh, have made very influential changes to these poor peoples lives. Water treatment plants, provision of seeds with teaching of how to grow & nurture crops, providing prosthesis, children’s operations, medicines with dispensaries’, grants to build 3 dams that serve 800 villager’s, fish tanks and corrugated roof’s to replace thatch, that leaks as well as holding rats & vermin.
All about sustainability.
Bronwyn organises tours that are half cultural & half project work. Wholesale airfares are generously provided by Brighton Travel at $3200 for 12 days. Next tour in late January 2015. For more information click on this link: World of Difference
Geoff gave an emotional VOT mentioning that there should be more people like Bronwyn. Compassionate volunteers & donations do create a lot of success
