Christina tells the story:-

The group raked leaves, cleaned gutters and trimmed hedges in preparation for winter. I have not seen such a big smile on Mum's face in a long time and am so thankful for the blessing of Rotary family. Two of the men in the photo also lost their fathers last year, one a WWII veteran like my father, making this work day a true labour of love.

 

 

 

Also a Michigan Rotarian took my Dad's WWII photo and medals and created this for Mum(see below), as well as a wooden box for her American flag, which was part of Dads military honours, at the cemetery. He is taking both to her new apartment next week and hanging them for her. He owns a trophy shop and refuses to charge me more than cost.
