In the Junior section, the winner was Keira (Kilbreda), who spoke on poverty in South Africa; the runner-up was Sophia (Mentone GGS) whose theme was the importance of music. The Senior section winner was Ginger (Mentone GGS) who spoke on the challenges of living with a disability; the runner-up was Eliska (Mentone GGS) who spoke on the importance of teaching Ethics in schools. The winners and runners-up go through to the finals.
