After a guided tour of the flag-decorated and well-organised scout hall, we were each introduced to a Sea Scout host who looked after us, got us our dinner, and cleared the table afterwards. Then they showed us their skills with knots, inviting us to try our hands too.

President Peter was presented with a 1/14th Sea Scout scarf and the evening ended with a formal Scout parade and flag-lowering ceremony.

We were all impressed by the enthusiasm, commitment and confidence of these young people, and we were touched by the warm appreciation they showed for our club's support. We look forward to continuing our association.

About the 1/14th Sea Scouts:  it is the oldest and largest scout group in the Bayside area, formed in 1908. It has 5 levels of membership: Joeys (5 - 8 years), Cub Scouts (8 - 11 years), Scouts (11 - 15 years), Venturers (15 - 18 years), and Rovers (18 - 25 years).
