Clubs provided more than $20 000 towards the cost of the container which was matched by a Rotary Foundation grant of $10,000.   The total project funds realised was $31,600.

The container had several ophthalmic microscopes on board, a modern anaesthetic machine, two vaccine fridges, 2 operating tables, 10 slim line day surgery beds, 420 cartons of dressings and consumables (that our club members helped to sort and load), operating equipment, an arthroscopic tower with the accessories required for its use, an autoclave, monitoring equipment for vital signs, ECG machines, respirators and many mobility aides.   

More money was raised than was needed to ship the container. This means equipment sought by the hospital that DIK did not have (eg orthopaedic instruments and other vital equipment) will be purchased in Cambodia, with financial oversight by Rotary Phnom Penh (RCPP). 

RCPP is ready to coordinate logistics in Cambodia and assist the NGO hospital.
